John B. was the head coach of the Netherlands women's sitting volleyball team at the Paralympics 2008 in Beijing-China.

He visited the Paralympic Games in 2010 (Winter Games in Vancouver-Canada), 2012 (Summer Games in London-England) and 2024 (Summer Games in Paris-France).

John B. was also "active behind the scenes" as an advisor at the 2016, 2020 and 2024 Games.
